Champagne-Ardenne is an almost magical place, especially for the wine connoisseur. Even if wine tasting is not on your driving holiday itinerary you will not be disappointed as this is a region rich in deep forests, crystal lakes and streams bubbling through the countryside which remind the traveler of the wine that is this regions namesake.
There are many attractions to be found in this region, many of which would not be discovered unless driving off the beaten track: the basilica of l'Epine, the Reims cathedral, the Sedan castle, the fortified city of Langres, the 16th century old houses at Troyes. The list is pretty much endless, all you need is the time and a good map.
